2008 Romans 8: 31 - 39 Every care you may cast on your Father above, For it matters to Him about you. He has sent us His Son from the depth of His love, And yet more He has promised to do. Chorus: Peace, peace, wonderful peace, Oh what peace is our un-earned reward! There is unsurpassed peace for the children of God, When we cast all our care on the Lord. Though we’re threatened by charges the enemy brings, We’ve no reason for fear and alarm. He who gave us His Son, won’t He give us all things? Our Defender will keep us from harm. Not the trials of earth; not the powers above, Neither nakedness, peril, nor sword Shall be able to separate us from the love Which is found in Christ Jesus our Lord. We are conquerors all through the love He bestows, Though accounted as sheep to be slain. In the deepest afflictions our faith only grows, And what fathomless peace we sustain! |
