| They be Many |

Psalm 56 July 25, 2007 Unto me, O my God, show thy mercy and grace, For I’m near swallowed up by oppressions I face. They be many that fight against me, O most High, But thy word I will praise, and on thee I’ll rely. What time I’m afraid I will look unto thee. I’ll not fear what my enemies do unto me, Though their thoughts are against me for evil each day, And they turn everything that I do or I say Into something for which they may falsely accuse, And they look every way for a chance to abuse, Yet thou guidest my goings and catchest my tears; When I cry unto thee, I’ll be saved from my fears. This I know, despite all that the world tries to do, And despite every danger my course may pass through, That my God is for me, and in thee I can trust. I will render thee praises. To do so is just, For thou savest and keepest and lightest my ways; For deliverance and blessing I offer my praise. |
